You have been chosen to complete a special task for God but it
does not feel like an honor. You gaze intently into the sky;
thinking that it might have been a mistake. You don't see total confident in yourself. Out of everyone in the world you don't
understand why it gotta be you. You are not highly intelligent and
powerful, it just doesn't seem right to you. But sometimes, when we
have a vision, it doesn't have to make sense to us. Dignity and
splendor are before him. All we have to do is say yes and put on the
whole armor of God. He had already prepared everything for us. His
works are beyond our comprehension. For instance, David, the youngest
son of Jesse, was sent to the battle lines to fight Goliath who was
ten times his size. However, there was no fear in David's eyes
because he knew that God was with him. God works and does miracles in
mysterious ways and at the end it is like a precious diamond .
Obedience
Cycling is so hard, the suffering is so intense, that it’s absolutely cleansing. The pain is so deep and strong that a curtain descends over your brain… There is no beneficial pleasure that we obtain when we run. The greatest battle is not physical but psychological. The demons telling us to give up when we push ourselves to the limit. As we try to hang in there and stay steady to the road, it seems like we are not moving at any pace. That uncomfortable tragic voice keeps on whispering in our heads and it seems we can never be silenced for good. For awhile, when we couldn't handled it anymore, we begin to panic and starts going off the wrong direction. We begin to be disobedient to God's words and due things that we really know are not righteous.
Discipline
An important part of God's training program is becoming sure-footed before we can compete we must become "established," firmly rooted, "grounded and settled in the faith." (1 Thes 3:13; 2 Thes 2:17; Col 1:22, 23; 2:7) This period of preparation is necessary to strengthen our spiritual muscles, "by reason of use," through practice (or, exercise -- Heb 5:14) because when we entire the Christian race, there are dangers that are going to enervate our strength and pull us back from the work of God. with During the early stage of our Christian life ,we should devote a lot of time to God and designate ourselves to things which are right.
Preparation
This race beings, not when you are born, but the from the very moment you accept Christ, as your savior and received his gift of complete forgiveness. The race is playing the unique role God had given you to influence others for Christ. However, in order for us to be a fellow of Christ and stay in the race, we must illuminate the sin that so easily hinders our progress. This doesn’t mean that you can’t run the race if you commit sins (we’d all be out of the race!)—it means that you can’t stay in the race if you are clutching on to and rationalizing things that you know God says are wrong and destructive. ((Eph.4:32, (Mk.4:18,19).
Desire
Even with all the preparation and accuracy of "perfection" in any sport, unless one has the desire to compete and win, his training is useless. We can have all the know-how and go through the religious gymnastics of Christianity; but unless there is within us an unquenchable desire to "follow hard" after the Lord, to know him in his fullness, the final record will reveal our place as falling far short. Isaiah said, "the willing and the obedient shall eat the good of the land." (Isa 1:19)
The race is a steeple-chase marathon that is filled with obstacles, including opposition from people who aren’t in the race and don’t want you to be in the race, from a cultural value-system that says to live for self instead of for Christ, and from demonic spirits that hate Christ and want to take you out of the race.
Endurance
In any contest, the important factor is that winning a race requires times, efforts and some sort of dedications. Our minds must truly be focus in order to win the race. It's not always about how fast we get but the determination to finishing the race. We are involved in a foot race and must finish the course. Even though we might be tempted to become satisfied with our progress and position and consequently relent in our efforts to publish the gospel message. But it's not how many begin the competition but who participate the course race and finishes.
Many focus on the initial speed of their progress, but overlook one far greater factor of successful athletic competition: We may start out in the front lines, leading, but if our progress is not consistent -- if we become entangled with the affairs of this life (2 Tim 2:4; Gal 5:1)-- we will fall back as we weary with the stress of the race.
Our lives in eternity are being affected now by the many choices we make daily.
"Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. For ye have need of patience (endurance), that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise," (Heb 10:35-36). God has given every believer different abilities. God will only hold you accountable for what He1s entrusted to you. Don't concern yourself about not being as gifted as the next person. Rather, just do you very best with what God has given you. We truly need our minds to focus on God and consistently stay Faithfully, with aggressively commitment... give it all we have, (Col 3:17), “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. 23, And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” The Word of God clearly acknowledges that the world hated Christ first. When he came unto the scene, no mans wanted to accepted him. They rejected him, as a result Christ warned us that the world would not love us as its own because we do not belonged in it. Despite of everything that hinders us, we should keep running with endurance the race set before us. As the scripture said in book of Galatians, chapter 6:9,“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
